Radiology in Marrakech
May 15 - 21, 2011
From the moment you arrive in Marrakech you will get a feeling of sensuous luxury married with the aesthetic simplicity of this historic Moroccan city.

Visit the dusky, pink-walled Medina, the 'old city', with its mysterious labyrinth of alleyways housing the souk, a narrow hustle bustle maze of zillions of shops which seem to sell everything that was ever made in the last 500 years. Where the moped riders dance their way through the throngs of people but impossibly never seem to hit anyone

Even non-shoppers will be amazed by the color, diversity and vibrancy of these bazaars.

At the heart of the Medina is Djemaa el-Fna, the main square where the snake charmers, fortune tellers and musicians perform whilst the aroma of sizzling Moroccan delicacies fill the air, you would be forgiven for thinking that you were acting out a part in the Arabian Nights. Your every sensibility will take a sudden jolt as you are time warped into another world.

But it’s worth leaving the intoxicating charms of the old city occasionally to enjoy an evening of dinner and drinks in some of Morocco's finest restaurants.

Altogether a magical city and country, one not to miss since the world is rapidly becoming homogenized. You will still see sights which will endure in your memory.

Yes it has gone from nophone to mobilephone and from mule to Mazda overnight, but you will still see fields being ploughed by oxen and yashmak clad women toiling in the fields as the men take care of all those important business matters while they drink their coffee in the local village coffee house.
